Overview of Inventory Intelligence
BusinessPlus analyzes your catalog and order activity to detect inventory risks before they impact your bottom line. Two primary automated alerts operate on the Inventory dashboard: Critical Expiry Warnings and Slow-Moving Stock Detection.
Critical Expiry Warnings
For products configured with "Track Expiry":
- 3-Day Expiration Threshold: The system automatically scans active stock batches. Any batch expiring within 3 days (or already expired) is highlighted in a rose-colored alert banner.
- Batch Details: The alert displays the product name, batch number, SKU, remaining quantity, and exact expiration date.
- Actionable Resolution: Clicking any expiring item navigates directly to its detail page to adjust pricing, apply promotional discounts, or log disposal adjustments.
Slow-Moving Stock Detection
BusinessPlus monitors order transactions over the preceding 30 days:
- Zero Sales Detection: Active products with physical stock greater than 0 that have recorded zero sales in the last 30 days are flagged.
- Idle Stock Value Calculation: For each slow-moving item, the system calculates the tied-up capital (`stock_quantity * cost_price`) to show the total financial value at risk.
- Slow-Moving Modal: Click "View Slow Moving" in the inventory banner to view a prioritized list ranked by total idle capital.
